“It is the unity that has to continue for us to continue growing and bring competition. So that flights and tickets can go down and there is more tourism for all sectors,” said the president.

This information was offered by the president during a ceremony in the Las Cariátides room of the National Palace, where the FAA certification was presented that shows that the country maintains category 1 in aviation.

For his part, the director general of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, Héctor Porcella, highlighted the attitude of commitment and responsibility of the head of state in the face of the country’s major issues, “it has been a key factor in the great advances that civil aviation has registered in the last four years.”

He said that without the support of President Abinader, the story could have been very different in the country’s aviation, “since the president was not only as interested as anyone else, but he was always available to support our initiatives or help make any decision in times of doubt.”
