
Seoul, South Korea. – The general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) assured that the participation of the Dominican aeronautical sector in the second Global Symposium on Implementation and Support, organized by Icao in South Korea, will strengthen the country’s efforts to consolidate itself as the main aeronautical destination in the Caribbean.
Héctor Porcella, who heads the Dominican delegation at the symposium, said that the event focuses on promoting the improvement of infrastructure and operational procedures aimed at strengthening operational safety and reducing the environmental impact of air activity, and said he appreciates

Icao’s commitment to promote cooperation among States, including the exchange of good practices, technical assistance, channeling resources and addressing regional disparities in infrastructure, capacity and technology development.
The Dominican Republic was representated at the ceremony by Héctor Porcella, general director of Idac; José Marte Piantini, president of the Civil Aviation Board (Jac); Antonio Yapor Alba, member of Jac´s Board and alternate representative to Icao; Julio Peña, Dominican Ambassador to Icao and Federico Cuello, Dominican Ambassador to South Korea.
