President Luis Abinader attended the presentation of the Sky High Dominicana airline flotilla, accompanied by the interim director general of Idac, Héctor Porcella; The president of the JAC, José Marte Piantini; the executive director of Da, Víctor Pichardo together with Aerodom authorities and airline executives.

Santo Domingo.– Interim general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac), Héctor Porcella, valued the commitment and will of president Luis  Abinader to strengthen aviation as an strategic allied  of tourism and key sector in the national economic deveploment. He said that the proposal to reform the civil aviation law submitted to the Congress by president Abinader is intended to turn the Dominican Republic in the first air hub in the Caribbean and one of the main investment destiny  in Latin America. 

Porcella saluted the new fleet presentation of Dominican  Sky High airlines and he defined it himsef as a sample of the solid growing of the country  aeronautical park under the government changes auspices. 

The activity performed in la Vendimia restaurant,of Las Americas International Airport, Doctor José Francisco Peña Gómez,in the new aircraft fleet  inauguration of  Sky High,a national  aviation  commercial operator,  President Luis Abinader remarked that this represent  a boost to the dynamic shown by the sector actually. 

He reffered that the dominican airlines had almost duplicated  the total of transports passangers  in the region ; likewise the airline passed from using aircraft with 19  to 45 passangers capacity to operates aircraft with 100 passanger capacity”, pointed President Luis Abinader.

Héctor Porcella values ​​the commitment and willingness of President Luis Abinader to strengthen aviation as a strategic ally of tourism and a key sector of national economic development.

He explained that the legal disposition its aiming  to foment and rise  the competitiviness  of civil aviation in the country, estableshing by  that way ,the pertinent incentives that allow the increment of airway visitors. 

The mandatary manifested that with those dispositions, it seeks to establish besides, of new domestics routes , an internationals and national strategy  markets to  strengthen the dominican positioning  as a connection point to trasnport,passanger logistic  and cargo.  

During the act, Sky High Dominicana executives announces their expansion  projects  and their significant consolidation  for this new year of  2023, year in which they keep even more their proposal of values and safety, solidity and commitment to continue being a reliable airline proudly dominican.  

To this  2023 which it is  just starting , Sky High Dominicana it counts with a fleet of 4 Embraer-190 of  97 pasangers including Executive Class , 3 Embraer-145 of 50 passangers, 2 Embraer-75 of 77 passangers Executive  Class besides a cargo  Boeing 737,for a total of  10 aircrafts.this expansion strengthen  the airlines services , that to the date its counting with 21 destinations and with more than  4,000 yearly operations,connecting the Caribbean with latin America and the United States.  

By his side, Sky High Dominicana, CEO Juan Chamizo, thanked to the president and to all the presents to accompanies them in the extend of the air proposal in the Dominican Republic. 

In addition, de Sky High Dominicana, operation director Cesarina Beauchamp, highlighted that what  it was presented wouldnt be possible without the accompanied  and the great support that had been  received by part of the Joint Plenary  of Civil Aviation, Aerodom, Idac, as wel as of all composed members like Ministry of Tourism , Idac, Cesac and Airport Department,among other .  

Also, Aerodom general director, Mónika Infante, expressed her satisfaction  to receive the new aircrafts in the Las Americas international Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez runaways.

President Luis Abinader during the inspection tour of the Sky High Dominicana airline fleet, was accompanied by the interim director general of Idac, Héctor Porcella and the president of JAC, José Marte Piantini.

In the same way, Rodrigo Pereyra,  Embraer representant of the  aircraft construction company, expressed his confident in the  Sky High project and his beliefs in the company to its growing in latin America.  

To the act attended , Airforce General Commander of the Dominican Republic, Febrillet Rodríguez, Fard; the Civil Aviation Specialized Corp in airport Safety general director (Cesac), colonel pilot Floreal Suárez Martínez, Fard and the president of  Dncd, rear admiral of the Dominican Republic army  (ARD) José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa. 

Also general consul in Miami city , to the Dominican Republic, Geanilda Vázquez; Airport Department  directors, Víctor Pichardo; and the president of the Civil Aviation Joint, Héctor Marte Piantini.
