Santo Domingo.- The general director of Idac, Héctor Porcella, said that the agreement for the Implementation of the Coordination Strategy for the management of International Humanitarian Aid in Emergency Situations, formalized by 12 public institutions, is a great step forward to strengthen the response capacity of the Dominican State to any public calamity or contingency situation that may affect the country.
After signing the agreement with the representatives of the other entities involved in the initiative, including the Minister of Economy, Pavel Isa Contreras; and the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz, Porcella affirmed that the new protocol fully corresponds to the philosophy of the new social responsibility strategy recently launched by the Idac.
He also pointed out that the involvement of the institutions in this plan to make emergency operations coordinated by the COE more efficient is part of the same philosophy of concerted action through cabinets and other mechanisms of articulation that President @LuisAbinader has so profitably put into practice in different circumstances since the beginning of his government.
