The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the highest authorities of world tourism, government officials, businessmen and representatives of the bank.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the president of the World Travel Council (WTTC), Julia Simpson, described the Dominican stand as the most beautiful at the Fitur fair.
Likewise, the CEO of the entity that represents the private tourism sector worldwide said that the Dominican Republic shows impressive growth numbers.

Minister Collado said that this new version of Fitur finds the country at its best, after recalling that the Dominican Republic received 10.3 million visitors last year.
After participating in the opening ceremony, the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, highlighted the growth that Dominican tourism has registered, thanks to the work of Minister Collado.
The UNWTO leader said that as a result of this work and growth, 2024 will be another great year for the Dominican Republic, which has become a global reference.
