
Punta Caucedo.-The Superior Academy of Aeronautical Science (Asca) of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) proceeded to boost the biweekly evaluation process, aiming to evaluate the academical quality of aeronautical training guaranteeing the accomplishing of the Superior Education Institutions Standards (Ies) required by the Ministry of Superior Education Science and Technology (Mescyt).
Asca rector, Clara Fernández, stated that the academy is a quality reference in aeronautical training and with this first evaluation process that it will be subjected by the Mescyt it will achieve positive results in the standards dimensions and components which will undoubtedly the graduated academy excellence and will benefits the development and competitivity of the dominican civil aviation.
“This process of biweekly evaluation allow us the quality assurance and it motivates us even more to value ourselves and to act for the continuos improvement process of teaching-learning in a superior technical level”, pointed Fernández.
In the launching act participated too, Juan Francisco Viloria Santos, viceministry of de Evaluation and y Accreditation of Ies from Mescyt, who during his intervention precised that through the evaluation to the Superior Education Institutions it is sought, that in the autoevaluation phase, the institutions meet their weakness and , depending on them, receive the technical team support of the Ministry that accompany them to implement continuos improvements that guarantee quality standards in the Dominican Republic training.
In addition to those mentions,were present too Lourdes Concepción, in charge of biweekly evaluation department; Rosa Lara y Ramón Peralta, advisors and tutors of biweekly autoevaluation of the refereed Ministry .
By Idacs side were presents Ana Ysa Tejeda e Izzet Sansur, directors of Human Resources and Administrative respectively. In addition , participated committeed members and intern subcommitteed of Academy Autoevaluation : Miguel Delgado,direction coordinator; Elizabeth Sosa, management coordinator; Vanessa Byas, Asca technical coordinator; Enmi Torres, in charge of registration; Milvio Pérez, in charge of aeronautical school and Atahualpa Ramos,ASCA legal analyst , among other.
