
México, D.F.- The Nacc regional office of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Icao, celebrated the sixth working group meeting of the instruction centers of civil aviation in the regions of North America, Centro America and the Caribbean, Nam/Car, in which the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac), was represented by the Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, through its director, Clara Fernández.
The topics covered in this meeting edition dealt with the instruction need to the States, regional instruction solutions, and experiences interchanges to solve the limitations derived from the pandemic of Covid-19, the contingency plans elaboration, as well as the possibility to grant scholarships to the region Estates Nam/Car.
The designs of conventional courses, together with virtual and face to face modality and the review of terms of reference to the group were among other, the treated topics in the meeting. Asca technical coordinator, Vanessa Byas, also participated in the event.
Every year, Icao organizes this meeting with the aeronautical training centers aiming to share the instruction offer for the following year, providing follow-up to concrete actions providing information related with the initiatives of the implementation of the intent declaration to the regional collaboration in instruction.
In the meeting in which were met directors, delegates and instruction center representatives of the civil aviation Nam/Car, region Asca director was chosen unanimously by vote, as vice-relator of the working group.
