In a ceremony led by President Luis Abinader, the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, received the certification of approval of the Five-Year Evaluation carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mescyt, which reaffirms the commitment of the aeronautical training center to compliance with the highest standards of academic quality.

In a ceremony led by President Luis Abinader, the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, received the certification of approval of the Five-Year Evaluation carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mescyt, which reaffirms the commitment of the aeronautical training center to compliance with the highest standards of academic quality.
The certification corresponds to the evaluation of the 2019-2024 cycle and states that Asca, together with 48 other higher education institutions in the country, has rigorously and responsibly passed the self-evaluation and external evaluation processes, established both in Law 139-01 on Higher Education, Science and Technology, and in Resolution 53-2022 of the National Council of Higher Education. The head of the Aeronautical School, Milvio Pérez, on behalf of the rector of the Asca, Clara Fernández, received the certificate from the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader and Franklin García Fermín, Minister of the Mescyt.
Igor Rodríguez Durán, Administrative Minister of the Presidency and Juan Francisco Viloria Santos, Vice Minister of Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions, Ies, also participated in the delivery of the certificate.
Also present at the meeting were the vice-rectors of the Mescyt, José A. Cancel, Evarista Matías, Genaro Rodríguez, Paula Disla and María López Polanco, as well as university rectors and other government officials.
