IDAC will plant more than 2,000 trees this Saturday in the coastal area of Jackson Beach

The reforestation day called “Green Scale”  convened by the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac through its Planning and Development Directorate, aims to integrate hundreds of volunteers from the institution and other State agencies, as well as students and non-profit entities.

The activity will take place in the close to Jackson Beach, where species of beach grapes, button mangrove, poplar and red mangrove will be planted, all of which have the potential to act positively on the development and sustainability of coastal zone ecosystems.

Sarah Estévez, Director of Planning and Development at Idac, explained that the objective of the day is to plant more than 2,500 trees in the surroundings of Playa Jackson, in the area of influence of El Catey International Airport, consistent with the social responsibility policy of the Idac.
