Idac values government and tourism private sector agreement to represent the country in Fitur 2022

Héctor Porcella, general sub director  of the main public entity of the national aeronautical sector,stands out firm commitment of president Abinader in tourism recovery 

 

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation  (Idac) valued the government  engagement and the private tourism  sector to assume the representation of the country as a guest member in the 2022 edition of the Spain international Fair (Fitur), projected as the most important  post pandemic event of the world tourism. 

Héctor Porcella, general sub director  of  Idac, congratulated president Luis Abinader,to the tourist minister David Collado and the privated actors of the sector for their firm will to continuos working in a unified way to secure  the  main recovery of the economical area of the country. 

“Its an extremely significant fact that this iniciative not only involves to the government authorities  and the private tourism sector, but also to the two financial institutions of the country: Reserves Bank and Popular Bank, that are assuming  too a very important responsability  in this great agreement ”, pointed the officer. 

Porcella, representing Idac’s general director, Román Caamaño, in the formal act of the agreement, said that the countrys decision to participate as a Fitur 2022 partner, it is consistent with the strategy outlined by the president Abinader ,from the beginning of its management to bet on the rapid normalization from a key activity to recover hundreds of thousands  due to its transversal impact on the other productive sectors. 

Recalled that the initial government plan to boost the tourism recovery included   the assignment of 420 millions of pesos in promoting and agreement with airlines to secure routes, economic support, fiscal flexibility, monetary measures, a guarantee fund, credit support for small and medium businesses, and the creation of a a health insurance in charge of the State for tourists that may result affected by Covid-19 

President Luis Abinader and the ministry of tourism  David Collado presented the tourism expansion strategy supported in the country brand that will be displayed  the Dominican Republic in the next edition of Fitur, where the country will display a prominent role  for the promotion of of its greats touristical attractives and its proposal as the main investment destination in the caribbean region. 

This participation has a prominent role and strategic visibility for the promotion to the world of the greats toristical attractives of the Dominican Republic  in the most important touristical fair  of the world. 

During the announcement of the agreement, president Abinader highlighted that the participation of the country in  Fitur reaffirms the commitment that the government had assumed to relaunch tourism  to achieve the highest occupancy rates , attract new investment and continue to improve the quality of the offer that  the Dominican Republic is offering to the world. 

By his side , ministry Collado pointed that  Fitur will represent a remarkable boost to achieve the total recovery of dominican tourism  and get that  2022 be the year of greater arrival of tourist to the country.
