
Montreal, Canadá.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Spanish: Idac, and Centroamerica Corporation of Air navigation Services, spanish: Cocesna, formalized a cooperation and technical assistance agreement to strengthen the national entity staff trainning in environment protection to the International Civil Aviation.
Protocol was signed by Idac´s interim general director, Héctor Porcella and the Executive Director and Ceo of Cocesna, Juan Carlos Trabanino Aguirre, in the initial phase frame of the 41st general assembly of International Civil Aviation Organization, Oaci.
This agreement contemplates that Cocesna and its members States may share the capacities about binding issues of environment protection in the aeronautical sector through sustainable fuels for commercial aviation. It is part of an ambitious joint project for a bio-refinery, that will be operating in Dominican Republic for local use and export purposes.
This project consist in a structure that integrates biomass conversion processes and equipment to produce fuels energy and chemical products.
Both institution will promote talks, worshops and meeting to interchange knowledgements,skills,resources and technologies oriented to achieves the full scope,of this objective of environment protection to the year 2024.
It is remembered that the past august 29 of the current year 2022, parts held a meeting with the Latinoamerican commission, Clac, during which it was manifested that Guatemala its actually performing researching studies of low carbon fuels by using the raw material of the solid municipal waste.
During the signature agreement ceremony were presents ,jointly with the bearer of the two entities; The secretary of the Civil Latinoamerican Aviation Commission, Clac; the dominican ambassador and permanent representative to Oaci, Julio Pena; the Idac´s legal director, Bernarda Franco; the substainable development department, Judith De León; and y representatives of Cocesna.
