Santo Domingo . The general directors of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) and the Specialized Corps in Airport Security and Civil Aviation (Cesac) signed an inter-institutional agreement through which both organizations agree to share and cooperate with each other in the development of training activities, preventive, advisory, training and / or training that may be useful for the better development of civil aviation in a safe manner.
Román E. Caamaño and the Aviation Technical Major General Carlos Ramón Febrillet Rodríguez agreed that the institutions they represent work on defining mechanisms that allow optimal use of their respective resources, in order to promote actions and measures that favor the objective common to promote and encourage the safe, orderly and efficient development of civil aviation in Dominican territory.
This cooperation will be based on the combination of measures and the organization of various human and material resources in the institutional and airport spheres, which contribute to the establishment of a national policy on operational, airport and civil aviation security, based on in Laws 491-06, on Civil Aviation and 188-11, on Airport Security and Civil Aviation, in compliance with Annexes 6, Operations and 17, on Security, of the Chicago Convention of the Civil Aviation Organization International (Oaci).
Idac undertakes to provide Cesac with all information related to civil aviation security (Avsec) sent by Oaci, as well as all information related to acts of unlawful interference against aircraft or against civil aviation of which be aware of and coordinate with Cesac to provide adequate protection to air navigation radio aids and communications that are located outside the perimeters of airport terminals.
Radio battery supply
IDAC, in a spirit of healthy cooperation to strengthen civil aviation security throughout the national territory, within the framework of the ceremony, supplied Cesac with 200 batteries for its communications radios model MNTN4497CR, Mahliion .
The heads of both organizations stated that both this inter-institutional agreement to the contribution of batteries for communications radios, constitute an advance in the relations between the state bodies that have a leading role in the country’s civil aviation and the intention of ensuring the Dominican Republic its place of preponderance in matters of safety and security of international aviation.
In the signing of the interinstitutional agreement, together with Caamaño and Febrillet Rodríguez, the deputy director general Héctor Porcella, the legal director Bernarda Franco, the director of Communications and Public Relations, Priscilla Camarena and the person in charge of the Relations department participated.
