
The general director interim of the Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil, Idac, Héctor Porcella and the president of the board of directors of the Aeronautical-Meteorological Cooperative of Savings, Credits and Multiple Services Aeromet-Coop, Elías Caamaño, signed a mutual cooperation agreement for streamlining the processes and procedures of loans between both institutions and their employees.
Aeromet-Coop, founded in 2003, leads the first positions of competitiveness in the market for closed cooperatives, providing services and credits with quality and efficiency to its associates. On October 11, 2005, Aeromet-Coop was officially incorporated by means of Decree 574-05, which allowed a great advance toward its social goals.
The cooperative´s mission is to transform the quality of life of its members in the economic and social aspects, accompanying them toward liberation and financial well-being through quality services, and its vision is to become a model in the Dominican public sector, characterized by the best practices of transparency, efficient services and permanent support for the financial well-being of the partner.
Aeromet-Coop´s districts can be found in the different locations of Idac and their respective delegates are in the central building, Block A Benigno del Castillo, Norge Botello headquarters building, and at airports El Higüero, Las Américas, La Romana, Cibao in Santiago, María Montés in Barahona, Catey in Samaná, Arroyo Barril, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and the Civil Aviation Board
IDAC is an autonomous, specialized and technical state institution with legal personality and its own assets, created by Law 491-06 on Civil Aviation of the Dominican Republic, dated December 22, 2006, as amended; In charge of the supervision and control of civil aviation throughout the Dominican territory.
Aeromet-Coop´s purpose and fundamental objective are to unite all aeronautical and meteorological sectors under the principles and doctrine of cooperativism, providing all the services that are within its reach to achieve social, economic and moral development to the associates.
