
Santo Domingo. – With the aim of fostering an inclusive, respectful, and violence-free work environment, the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, conducted an awareness campaign on Positive Masculinities, aimed at more than 160 employees from different areas of the institution.
The opening and closing remarks were delivered by Cristina Marmolejos, representing the Training area of the Human Resources Directorate, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives to strengthen the institutional culture.
The facilitation was led by José Raúl Vargas Feliz, head of the Gender Equality Division of Idac, who addressed fundamental topics such as shared responsibility, violence prevention, the promotion of respect, and the development of new ways to practice masculinity from a positive and non-violent perspective.
“Every awareness-raising space is a solid step towards the cultural transformation we need: equal relationships, free from stereotypes and based on mutual respect,” stated Vargas Feliz.
This event is part of Idac’s strategic agenda to ensure the well-being of its staff, fulfill national and international commitments regarding human rights and gender equity, and reaffirm its leadership as an institution committed to social change.
