
Santiago de Chile. The superior academy of Aeronautic Sciences (Asca) of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) project itself as one of the main platform of specialized training in the ambit of civil aviation in Latin America.
The information was offerered by the interim general director of Idac, Héctor Porcella, after making a presentation about the advances registered in the Dominican Republic in human resources training to the aeronautic sector, during the meeting of the Latinoamerican (Clac) and the International Air and Space Fair (Fidae) celebrated in Santiago de Chile.
Porcella pointed that Asca it is presented as a platform with a due qualification and competence to contribute in training technicians in the different areas of civil aviation as a part of superior academy network.
“Considering that the Dominican Republic has consolidated itself as main tourist destination in the Caribbean and Central America supported in the growing development of aeronautic sector, the training resource has deserved a sustainable attention by the Dominican State , placing the country in conditions to rise the levels of specialized education to its own needs and to other region territories ”, apuntó Porcella.
Recognition to excellence
Porcella remembered that Asca, a training organism of Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, received recently the recertification that accredits it as a Regional Training Center of Excellence in instruction (RTCE),by the Organization of International Civil Aviation (Oaci), through its general secretary Juan Carlos Salazar.
Previuosly, in 2015, the specialized academy had been certified as an Excellent Regional Center in training, becoming in the first center of this category in the region.
IDACs interim general director participates in Fidae 2022 jointly to representants of countries that make up Clac and its team, whose discusses the most relevant topics that faces the aeronautic nowaday, within a sharp focus in its future related with the sustainability and how may impact in a possitive way in the environment.
The line work that was presented and those that are being worked by multidisciplinaries teams with experts from differents countries and had related with topic such as RPAs or unmanned air vehicle (usually known as dron), Crisis management, Implementation and management plans Nasp y SSP, Implementation of a protocol for the interchange of Operational Safety data among the CLACs countries and to establishes agreement between Clac and Cafa.
Some other topics are in duscussion as how to implement benefits in handling of air cargo under the liberation of seventh freedom for exclusive services of cargo,improvement of statistics information interchange in the region Clac, airport management focused in the implementation of APP to airports ,preparation of environmental protection topics related for may 11 ,Corsia Implementation between Clac countries , Potentials producers of region biofuel , facing the challenge of CO2 emissions,among other.
One of the points, that was supported by the Dominican Republic delegation , was the performing of a finantial audit -account periódically to the Clac, aiming to transparent the finantial funtioning of the organism. This audit will be performance by multidisciplinary teams and it will be assigned to each country in a rotative way, starting in this task with Chile, as proposal promoter.
The Dominican Republic representation in Clac meeting in Fidae frame was headed by Héctor Porcella, in his role of Idacs interim general director and by Civil Aviation Joint president (Jac) José Marte Piantini, accompanied by the country permanent ambassador in Oaci, Julio Peña among other responsible of both institutions.
