Idac pays tribute to Mexico on the 213th anniversary of the beginning of its independence

Santo Domingo. The general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac), Héctor Porcella, greeted the 213th anniversary of the beginning of Mexico’s independence and affirmed that the Dominican Republic has special reasons to thank and appreciate the bonds of friendship and solidarity that have always united their respective peoples.

During his participation with the commemorative ceremony of the homeland date of Mexico, held at Plaza Querétaro, next to the Idac headquarters, Porcella proclaimed before the Mexican ambassador Carlos Miguel Aysa González, that for the Dominican Republic, Mexico is a great historical reference, but it is also the first tourist power in Latin America, with a successful management model that has inspired our country to consolidate itself as the most important tourist destination of the Caribbean.

He recalled that just two years ago, Idac formalized a cooperation agreement with the Aeronautical University in Querétaro,  aimed to strengthen the links between our entities to promote continuous training through aeronautical workshops, scientific and technological projects, academic stays and research spaces.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Aysa González laid a wreath at the monument to the heroes of the independence of Mexico, in the Plaza Querétaro, where the main officials of the Mexican delegation, Colonel Rafael Tejada, representative of the Ministry of Defense, Denise Cabral, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the honorable representatives of the Embassy of Mexico in the Dominican Republic, were also present. as well as departmental directors of Idac.
