Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, was recognized among the first twelve 12 publics institutions with the best levels in accomplishing in the use of electronic information and communications technologies and implementation of the electronic government in the Dominican State , in 2022 edition of the specialized award grants by Government Office of Technologies in Information and Communication, Ogtic.
The recognition was received by Idac’s interim general director, Héctor Porcella,from the general directors hand of OGTIC, Pedro Quezada, accompanied of the minister of Economy Planning and Devoloping, Pavel Isa Contreras and the minister of Environment, Miguel Ceara Hatton.
Porcella defined the distinction as an act of justice to the efford deployed by Idac’s employeed in midst of limitations imposed by the Pandemia, to meet with the four fundamentals pillars in the use of Information Technologies, Tic, and implementation to a open Government Participation and Services Development .
He also emphasized the efford of all collaborators of the institution to achieve the normative certifications Nortic, conceived to normalize and standarizeTic in public management.
When making the delivering of the recognition to Porcella, Quezada highlighted that Idac deserved it when registering, among 340 institutions evaluated,a performance index of 94.2.
Porcella said that Idac works to a forced march to answer the big challenge that in term of modernization,service and operational safety poses the civil aviation development,as principal tourism platform, fundamental sector of our national economy.
