
Porcella congratulates Arajet launching, and ensures that the aeronautical sector is an essential ally of the dominican tourist development.
Santo Domingo.- In the first seven months of the year 2022 the Dominican Republic registred a historical passangers mark in the country aviation, exceeding in a 28 % the average of the last five years, in a trend that should gradually increase with the incorporation of new airlines national and foreign.
By offering the information, Idac’s interim general director, Héctor Porcella,states that national aeronautical sector will follow rising its accomplishing levels as a regulatory body in operational safety matters,to ensure the sustainability of the tourist growing process achieved by the country in the first two years of president Luis Abinader government.
He explained that 2022 project itself as the year of greatest tourist flow of air traffic in the whole Dominican Republic history,which has already positioned itself as one of the first countries in the world to exceed the amount of passangers before Covid-19 pandemia.

Porcella highlight the contribution of civil aviation when participating in the starting act of ARAJET operations the new airlines, of lower prices that announcement immediately the tickets sales with prices since 55 dollars one way and 149 dollars round trip taxes included.
During the activity, in which participated too, tourism minister David Collado,aeronauticals authorities and tourism representative sector, Porcella congratulated to president of Arajet, Víctor Pacheco Méndez,to defeat all the obstacles that had to confront in the course of last years to launch such an important project.
President Abinaders prediction is fulfilled
Porcella pointed that with the launching of this airlines the prediction done in the past month of march by president Abinader during the formal presentation of Arajet ,that in the country the end of high air fare had been iniciated.
At that time president Abinader said that with the new incorporation of this new company of air transportation the dominicans residents in the country and abroad and the tourism will be beneficiated ,to the extent that routes and destination of Arajet’s as other airlines expanded and certificated in the last two years .
With a brand new Boeing fleet, Arajet’s counts with authorization to connect the country with 12 countries and 20 destinations, includyng México, Perú, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Aruba, San Martín, Curazao and Ecuador, while negotiation progress to operates in different routes of USA.
