
Santo Domingo, RD.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation Idac, The Dominican Republic Airforce (Draf, Fard) and the Ministry of Presidency (Minpre) formalized an interinstitutional cooperation agreement to strengthen the airspace defense and the Operational Security Defense of aviation throughout the national territory.
With the subscription of this agreement, the signing institutions arrange to launch several technical cooperation plans, technical training-operative in the aeronautical ambit, information interchanges related with the statistical records of the sector and updating the technical data to the airports, airdrome and airclubs.
The agrement was signed by Idacs interim general director, Héctor Porcella; Dominican Republic Airforce Commander in Chief, Major General Carlos Ramón Febrillet Rodríguez; and by the Presidency Ministry , Joel Santos, who will be responsible for ensuring faithful compliance and the agreement execution.
Joel Santos manifested that the Presidency Ministry will support Idac and the follow up in the agreement fulfilment, since both civil aviation and military aviation represents strategic areas of the dominican institutional order, especially as for economic development and national safety.

Porcella pointed that the spirit and the purpose of this agreement correspond plainly with the Strategic Institutional Plan of Idac for the period 2021–2024, governed by the motto “Changing the course of Operational Safety”.
General Febrillet Rodríguez highlighted that Idac and the Draf, Fard have maintained a traditional cooperation relationship, Support and reciprocals coordination in the compliance of its respectfully institutional responsibilities.
