Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, exceeded 99 percent compliance by arranging the delivery of 1,358 products or services through the Directorate of Transparency and Citizen Attention during the April-June quarter of 2024.
The general director of Idac, Héctor Porcella, explained that this exercise of transparency and compliance is carried out in accordance with the mandate of the Law of Free Access to Public Information that orders State institutions to respond in a timely manner to citizens and the media requests for information.
“In the April-June period, the Directorate of Transparency and Citizen Attention delivered 1,358 products or services, an increase of 8% compared to the previous quarter, and reached a compliance level of 99.83% in the delivery of 1,171 operational products and services within the term established by the Law of Free Access to Public Information,” Porcella highlighted.
He explained that the Idac responded 100 percent to the requirements of individuals and 99.56 percent in cases of companies and other entities… “These are extraordinary figures that fill us with satisfaction because they are due compliance with the law, but also because they correspond to the transparency policy defended and applied from day one by President Abinader,” said Porcella.
Going into details about the first quarter data, Porcella said that the effectiveness in customer service was 98.56%, with only 15 findings in 1,044 products, with the Main Office standing out with 99.56%.
The largest number of requests were related to operational services, with a total of 1,171, followed by 154 quick queries and 33 requests for free access to information.
However, hea said that despite the progress, the care protocols are being reviewed due to the low participation in complaints and suggestions channeled by users and related parties.
