Closing at Asca: Basic Aerodrome Inspector Course Reinforces Technical Capabilities

The Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, celebrated the closing of the Basic Aerodrome Inspector Course, which began on August 21, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. and concluded this Friday, September 6 of this year.

This course, aimed at training professionals in the supervision and control of aerodromes, was attended by a group of leading professionals in the aeronautical sector, who received comprehensive training on international standards and regulations applicable to the operation of airports and runways.

Participants completed an intensive program that included theoretical and practical modules on aerodrome inspection, operational safety, emergency management, and maintenance of runways and air terminals. Likewise, the necessary tools were provided to ensure that air operations are carried out under the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

The course is part of Asca’s ongoing effort to promote specialized training in the aeronautical field, thus contributing to compliance with national and international regulations, and ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of airport services in the country.

The training lasted 90 hours, divided into both theoretical and practical and was taught in person.

The training was given by professors Ramon Emilio Abreu, Kelvin Abreu, Nelson Pérez, Ernesto de La Cruz and Francisco Peña, at the facilities of the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences of the IDAC, for 15 days.
