
Punta Caucedo, Santo Domingo province. The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) announced the Second Job Fair in the aeronautical sector, with the participation of 21 companies and institutions, to be held on Friday, December 8 at the headquarters of the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (Asca) in Punta Caucedo.
The event is aimed especially at young people interested in working in the civil aviation industry, and will include an “Open House” to show the Asca’s modern facilities in technical and academic areas, along with the study plans it offers.
People interested in participating in the event can go directly to the Idac aeronautical complex or take advantage of the free means of transportation that will be available starting at 8:30 in the morning on Friday the 8th at the following points: avenida 27 de Febrero, in front of Plaza Lama; park on 30 de Marzo corner México, in front of the Idac premises; metro station, in front of Mega Centro de Santo Domingo Este; and central park of Boca Chica, which will leave at 9:30 due to its proximity to Punta Caucedo.
The IDAC Public Relations Department explains that the job offers will be presented by 21 companies and institutions that are part of the aeronautical sector, of which have already confirmed their participation: the Idac, Carper, Iasca-Inter Aviation Services, VIP Crew, Asca, Aerodom, Arajet, Banreservas, Grupo Punta Cana, Pilarte Cargo, Sky High, Red Air, CTC Logistics, Fundapec, Airport Department, ATS Air Port Teams Solution, Enalas, Dominican Association of Air Traffic Controllers and Redair.
Specialized schools and educational centers will also participate, such as the National School of Airline Agents, American Dominican School, Perpetual Socorro School of the Dominican Air Force, Jiménez de los Santos Educational Center, Christian Baptist School, Children International, José Joaquín Pérez Night Lyceum (El Bonito), Doña Gladys Maranatha Study Center and San Miguel Arcángel School.
The Second Job Fair and Open House will also include talks on “how to prepare for a successful job interview?”, by Arajet’s Human Resources Manager and Vice President of Culture, Ann Sánchez; “Job opportunities without differences”, by Sarah Estévez, director of Planning and Development at Idac and “How to create a high-impact curriculum vitae?”, by Massiel Moreta, head of the Recruitment and Selection department at Idac.
