
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, informed this thursday the resumption of regulars flies suspended because of the winter storm that the latest days affected the United States East and several canadian cities.
Idacs interim general director, Héctor Porcella, revealed that all the country internationals airports reported the normalization of flies flow with the United States and Canada where certain restriction have been registered of aeronautical operations due to the atmospheric phenomenon.
“The information we been received since the early hours of this thursday it is that the cold storm had begun to weaken both in United States as in Canada, facilitating the normalization of Dominican Republic connecting flies with those countries”, pointed Porcella.
He indicated that because of weather reasons does not exist any situation that may affect the pasenger entry and exit in nationals airports, which its to his judgement,a very good news to the dominican tourism and its goal to exceed the historical figure of 7 milions of tourist in the year of 2022.
“Despite cancellation of 39 flies from the United States and Canada since thursday of the last week, the Dominican Republic is heading to register the greater amount of aeronauticals operations in the month of december and in the whole year,such as we have announced in a recent past”, pointed Idacs interim bearer.
