
Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Spanish: Idac, announced the first employment fair to aeronautical sector and the launching of a national strategic plan of operational safety, as a part of a commemorative program on World Civil Aviation Day, that will also include a central meeting with the participation of national leadership of this economical segment.
The World Civil Aviation Day, instituted by the United Nations in the year of 1996,its celebrated every December 7 to highlight the importance of this means of transport and to promote policies and strategies that contributes to boost the sustainable development in benefit to all mankind. IDACs interim general director, Héctor Porcella, informed that commemorative events will be celebrated from Thursday 6 thru Friday December 9 ,starting with a recognition act to labor merit and will take placed in the great hall of the Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca.
To Wednesday 7 it will be celebrated a flower offering in the Homeland Altar, and a mass for thanksgiving in the Military Cathedral in Santa Bárbara church besides a cocktail headed by Idac´s interim general director, with the presences of high Government authorities from, to the aeronautical sector institutions, to tourism and civil aviation entrepreneurs, among other guests.
While on Thursday 8, starting at 3 in the afternoon, a Master class performance about Operational Safety will be celebrate with the participation of national and internationals experts, prior to the launching of National Plan Of Operational Safety, in charge of interim general director, Héctor Porcella.
Employment Fair will be open to all interested
When referring to employment fair called within the commemoratives acts on World Civil Aviation Day, Porcella pointed that it is about the first event in its kind to be celebrated in the country, identifying the initiative as a consequences to the extraordinary national boom in aeronautical activity.
He explained that the employment fair will be organized starting to 10 in the morning Friday December 9 in the Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, premises with the participation of several companies linked to civil aviation : airports, airlines, air tour operators, cargo companies, and several Dominican institution of aeronautical sector, including to Idac and to Airport Department.
This activity its aimed to professionals preferably of the sector and graduated of this related sector with the civil aviation, it will also include an special opening to last year students interested to study in IDAC´s Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences.
