Idac announces activities for Dominican Aviation Week 2024

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, announces a series of activities scheduled from Monday, December 02, to Friday, December 6, with which both its authorities and its collaborators intend to celebrate "Dominican Aviation Week", in its 2024 version, which includes everything from training activities to special recognitions and a job fair.

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, announces a series of activities scheduled from Monday, December 02, to Friday, December 6, with which both its authorities and its collaborators intend to celebrate “Dominican Aviation Week”, in its 2024 version, which includes everything from training activities to special recognitions and a job fair.

On Monday 02 the journey of activities begins with a floral offering at the Altar of the Homeland, at 9 a.m. and a thanksgiving mass at the Military Cathedral of Santa Barbara, in the Colonial Zone, starting at 10 a.m., respectively.

On Tuesday 03, the general management of Idac, in the person of its head, Igor Rodríguez Durán, through the Human Resources directorate of the institution, will celebrate the act of recognition of the loyalty and performance of its collaborators, which they have called “Volando alto”, in the Banco BDI auditorium, of the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE).  starting, starting at 9 in the morning.

Continuing with the commemorative activities, on Wednesday 4, the workshop “Law 17-24, which modifies the Civil Aviation Law 491-06: scope and applications” will be held, given by Franklin Reyes Rossó, director of Regulation and Registration of Aircraft of the IDAC, in the auditorium of the High Technology Laboratories building, of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), starting at 9 in the morning

The cycle of activities of the Dominican Aviation Week 2024 will close with a flourish, with the third version of the Job Fair, of the aeronautical sector, at the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, located in the Norge Botello Aeronautical Complex, in the vicinity of the Las Americas International Airport (AILA), on Friday, December 6.  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dominican Aviation Week is part of the commemoration of World Civil Aviation Day, instituted by the United Nations in 1996, which is celebrated every December 7 to highlight the importance of this means of transport and promote policies and strategies that contribute to promoting its sustainable development for the benefit of all humanity.

The event also commemorates the founding date of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Icao.
