Miami, Florida.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, and Paramount Aviation Services signed an inter-institutional agreement in which the Dominican aeronautical organization will provide the North American academic body with part of the services of two TCE Flight Simulator Examiners.

The agreement seeks to enable Paramount to carry out the evaluation and certification of pilots in training of Dominican air operators, in accordance with the standards and requirements established by Idac.

The heads of the Idac and the aeronautical training institute based in Miami, Igor Rodríguez and Vito La Forgia, respectively, agreed that the examiners will be in charge of carrying out the corresponding evaluations and ensuring that pilots in training meet the necessary conditions for their certification, when required or assigned by Idac.

“I am grateful to the authorities of Paramount Aviation Services, a training center of the highest level for pilots and from the Idac we make every effort so that the pilots of Dominican air operators receive the greatest preparation and, in addition, the recurring updates and certifications that these professionals need,” said Rodríguez.

In the same order, the Dominican aeronautical official added that, through this agreement, the figure of the designated pilot will be established in Dominican civil aviation, with whose inclusion it is intended to increase the levels of services,  ensuring operational safety and Paramount becomes an essential ally for the Dominican official entity to achieve these objectives.

The signing of mutual cooperation between Idac and Paramount Aviation Services was carried out within the framework of the celebration of the third edition of the TradeShow, a commercial event where the main players of the tourism industry from the United States, Canada and Latin America participate, from where 87.5% of the tourists who visit the Dominican Republic arrive.

The Idac, in its capacity as a member of the Tourism Cabinet, has also been present at the TradeShow or Business Fair to join the effort made by Minister David Collado in such an important activity of the tourism industry.
