Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, represented by its general director, Román E. Caamaño and the Government Office of Information and communication Technologies, Ogtic, in the person of its Ceo, Pedro Antonio Quezada Cepeda signed an interinstitutional agreement with the main purpose to incorporate to the regulatory body of the dominican civil aviation,to digital signature use,to Digital Certificates implementation in its process and in the accomplisment of the normatives of Communication and Information Technologies, Nortic.
The agreement in question also contemplates, besides,to establish actions and engagement to Nortic A7 accomplishment to communication and information technologies with the Dominican Government.
Idac’s too,could process ,through this agreement request for technical advice (TI), to public services incorporation platform on line,consulting and auditing in Nortic, national and internationals statistics about Digital Government advance and to strategic assistance , projects and implementation formulation ,as the Single Window; and Digital Agenda 2030.
Both organisms, IDAC and OGTIC will display instruments , mechanisms and normatives that facilitates the interoperability among Dominican Government systems and will elaborate an activities cronogram to the execution of the agreement, that will be revised periodically, aiming to establish the viability of its execution.
“We Recognize the importance that means to the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, the signing of this interinstitutional agreement with the Government Office of Communication and Information Technologies, Ogtic, whose mission is to develop and guarantee better accesss, to connectivity and implementation of new technologies of communication and information,in order to encourage its use as a support of economy growing and competitiveness to the information society ”, expressed Caamaño.
Likewise, Quezada Cepeda added that “There are many areas and projects that Ogtic, may have to institutions, above all,the specialized ones like yours, who works in such strategical area,as passengers transport,with what we propose to strengthen and accompany in all components that in technologies matters you requiere. This is a very important challenge and at the same time, a privilege, that you open the doors to this mutual collaboration”.
Idac have the mission to promote the safety and responsable development of national civil aviation, persuant regulation,supervisory to foment the aeronautical activity,as well as the provision of services of air navigation, conjugated with the vision to consolidate the regional leadership in operational safety,boosting the sustainable and sustainable of national aviation developing ,supported by innovation and transparency of management , created persuant law 491-06, of civil aviation in the Dominican Republic, and modified by law 67-13.
To the act of this interinstitutional agreement signing the Idac general director was accompanied by: Bernarda Franco, legal director; Raúl Muñoz, Information and Communication technology director; Benjamín Gautreau, in charge of Security and monitoring information and Jasmín Fabré, in charge of Interinstitutional Relationship Department.
