Idac and Ministry of Environment carry out an arborization day in aeronautic Complex

Punta Caucedo.- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac), though Planification and Development Direction and its department of Social Responsibility , in collaboration  with the Ministry of Environment, performed the arborization  around  the heliport Aeronautical complex    Norge Botello, by sowing  25 plants   of Royal Palm aiming to accomplish the mission  to protect the naturals resources and the mitigation of of Carbon Dioxide(CO2), that contributes to reduces the environment of aeronautical operations.

Idac continues giving samples to be an environmental engaged institution and had devoted this month to make aware its employee in this field , first with the talk about “Sustainable mobility”, then with the celebration of the journey “A day without car” and finally with this contribution to the environment as highlighted in his main speech, the general subdirector, Héctor Porcella, who spoke in representation of general director general, Román E. Caamaño.

“We are a certified and recertified institution in Normative ISO 14001:2015 about environment and in all our locations we try to create use awareness and protection of our natural’s resources what a better. Way of doing so by planting trees in search to leave our next generations a greener and healthy country ”, pointed the officer.

Porcella added that Idac, as a regulatory organism of civil and commercial aviation in the Dominican Republic, had engaged to mitigate the pollution through gases expelling and carbon monoxide and each grain of sand we can provide through internationals agreement“as the one in Kyoto, we will be gladly do it and in this tree sowing it’s a proof of it”.

In the same sense they expressed Apolinar Suero Decena. Technical Sub director of Forest the vice ministry of Natural Resources , representing the Ministry of Environment, Orlando Jorge Mera y Shade Medina, in charge of Social Responsibility

“For Environment Ministry is an honor to contribute with this Idac initiative. We been, since a long time ago, backing up the arborization of a lot of spaces in the country and results had been of such importance, that, actually the trees covert of the Dominican Republic beats the 30 per cents, of our territory. The Royal Palm it’s a promissory species for its level of adaptability to all terrain and had contributed to our tourism and to many areas of our life ”, added Suero.

In the sowing and arborization activity ,participated, besides the general subdirector , Héctor Porcella and the representant of Environment Ministry , Apolinar Suero, Planification and Development , Richard Collin; of Aerial Navigation , Claudia Roa; Sustainability Development, Miguel Mejía; Superior Academy of Aeronautical Science, Clara Fernández; Danny Pérez, Aeronautical Complex Governor; Roberto Peña, analyst and Advisor of the general Director and the director representatives and departments in charges officer.
