Idac and Migration will exchange information to support strategic areas of national interest  

Santo Domingo.-  The Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil Idac, and the Directorate for Migration / Dirección General de Migración (DGM) agreed to exchange information in order to optimize the services that they offer. 

The protocol was signed by Héctor Porcella and Venancio Alcántara Valdez, general directors of IDAC and the DGM, respectively, highlighting the importance of such exchange in order to increase the operational efficiency of both institutions in support of national security, tourism development and civil aviation. 

Porcella defined the agreement as highly significant for the fulfillment of the functions of both entities, contributing to the growth and dynamism of Dominican tourism through the timely exchange of information for the transit check of passengers in the different air terminals. 

Meanwhile, Alcántara Valdez said that the agreement will also contribute to control illegal migration and eventual violations of the rules that govern the country’s aeronautical activity: “This joint initiative of IDAC and the Directorate of Migration will directly benefit citizens who use air and migration services and the efforts made by the Government of President Luis Abinader to defend the integrity of the national territory,” he said. 

The protocol was signed at Idac headquarters, where Porcella was accompanied by the Legal director  Bernarda Franco, the director of the Academia Superior de Ciencias Aeronáuticas (ASCA) Clara Fernández, the director of Planning and Development, the Director  of Communication, Luis José Chavez; Ana Ysa Tejeda, Director of Human Resources; Bosco Guerrero, Director of Transparency and Citizen Attention; and Jazmin Fabré, in charge of Interinstitutional Relations, among others 

Alcántara Valdez was accompanied by  Nathanael Minaya, Director of Information Technology, and Nelson Gutiérrez, Director of Public Relations.
