Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. – The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, and the Honduran Civil Aviation Agency, Ahac signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote inter-institutional cooperation, through which they will sponsor technical activities to optimize the training of personnel who work in both institutions.
The agreement will prioritize the exchange of activities for the development and strengthening of operational safety and the development of work schemes limited to inspection tasks, supervision of air activities and technical personnel, according to the nature and scope of the areas involved.
The memorandum also contemplates that the Idac, through its Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences Asca, will meet the training needs of the Honduran Agency for Civil Aeronautics, Ahac, that are contemplated in the portfolio of this academy and according to availability. The business proposals that are implemented will be annexes or addendums to this memorandum of understanding.
Idac and Ahac agreed to grant each other appropriate facilities to fulfill the objectives of this memorandum of understanding.
The signing of the document was led by Héctor Porcella, general director of the Idac and Gerardo Rivera Guifarro, executive director of the Ahac; accompanied by Bernarda Franco, Legal Director of Idac; Clara Fernández, Asca director; Claudia Roa, director of Air Navigation; Pedro Piña, director of Flight Standards; José Manuel Zelaya Rosales, Minister of Defense of Honduras; Jasmin Fabré, in charge of Interinstitutional Relations at Idac and Gabriela Guerra, Ahac.
This agreement was signed during the celebration of the Third World Implementation Support Symposium of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Giss, which is being held in Punta Cana from April 30 to May 2, with the participation of representatives from 193 countries. members of the specialized agency of the United Nations.
