Idac academic proposal is once again a reference at the Innova Technology Fair

Santo Domingo.- The academic offer based on short-cycle careers of a non-conventional nature implemented by the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, was highlighted as a proposal of interest in the third edition of the Dominican Fair Innova 2024 and the second version of the University Innovation Fair, a space in which 14 higher education institutions in the country promoted science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers, known in the English language as Stem careers.

Santo Domingo.- The academic offer based on short-cycle careers of a non-conventional nature implemented by the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, was highlighted as a proposal of interest in the third edition of the Dominican Fair Innova 2024 and the second version of the University Innovation Fair, a space in which 14 higher education institutions in the country promoted science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers, known in the English language as Stem careers.

The director of the Asca, Clara Fernández, who represented the general director of the Idac Héctor Porcella, stated that the main attraction of the stand lies precisely in the modern and innovative academic offering, such as the Higher Technician degree in Aeronautical Administration.

  “We participated for the second consecutive year in this important fair and we can say that the response has been impressive. The number of young people and adults who come to the stand interested in the career we offer, our study plans, because they are interested in being part of the Dominican aeronautical system, has been truly wonderful,” said Fernández.

The Asca continues the celebration of Innovation Week with the presentations “Innovation as a driver of human progress, importance and benefits for the Dominican Republic” on May 2, at 10:00 in the morning in the Aula Magna of the academy, taught by Domingo Mendoza, director of Innovation and Technological Transfer of the Vice Ministry of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mescyt.

Likewise, on Thursday, May 9, the webinar “Artificial intelligence in universities, impacts and challenges” will be held, led by Paola Martínez, master in Software Engineering and Technology and head of the Idac Systems Development and Implementation Department. .
