
Punta Cana-. Interim general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, Héctor Porcella, stated that the regional meeting of the International Meeting of Air Traffic Controllers Spanish: Ifatca, has represented a valuable contribution to strengthen and update programs of technical training and human capital formation in aeronautical sector in the country.
He stated that specialized topics presented by experts during the meeting not only enrich the culture and vision of delegates technician and delegates present, but also engages to the dominican authorities to devote a great effort and resources to reach the excellency in operational safety matters.
“From this important event organized by Ifatca, and the Dominican Association of Air Traffic Controller, Adca, we have come out convinced of the great importance to the country to count with Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Spanih: Asca, principal specialized center in technical staff training and aeronautical administration in all the Caribbean region.”, pointed Porcella.
Adding that Idac will continue promoting specials iniciatives to the air controllers and other local technicians may improve their competences level in various international centers ,purpose that is being carried out with the support of the International Civil Aviation Organization, spanish: Oaci through bilateral agreements with aeronautical authorities from other countries.
Porcella highlighted the impact of Ifatca, regional meeting in the closing day journey of the event, celebrated in a hotel of the touristical community of Punta Cana.
Patricia Gilbert, Ifatca executive vicepresident, declared herself impressed because of the works quality and the interest shown during the course of the program by the delegates of the 19countries present in the meeting.
“I vas been enchanted of the incredible performance of the event, efficient, punctual and well organized ”, expressed mrs Gilbert, when giving specials thanks to mr Porcella, to the other sector authorities and to the Adca team, headed by its president Alberto Santana.
While Santana said that the air controllers feel themselves part of the general nation success because of the contribution to civil aviation to the tourism recovery and to the economical development to the country.
“We do have the certainty that the collaboration spirit ,the joint effort and the good faith will continous driving the aeronautical activity and the civil aviation in the Dominican Republic on a path of growth and development, that will has an impact equally significant in behalf of all actors involved in it , group that we obviously are integral part”, underlined Adca president.
