
Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic continues to be a world reference in terms of recovering of economy strategic sectors,for which has been selected by the International Civil Aviation Organization (Icao) and Singapur authorities as the venue of “Civil Aviation General Director Program aviation resilience and workshop about the compliance of practices and rules recommended by Icao, Sarps.
By making this announcement,interim general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, Héctor Porcella informed that the conclave will gather more than 60 participants among general directors or civil aviation representatives of more than 25 countries, ambassadors to Icao and delegates of aeronautical institutions of North,Center Southamerica and the Caribbean, as a result of an iniciatives of Icao itself and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapur.
The international meeting,that it will be headed by the general secretary of Icao ,the Colombia citizen Juan Carlos Salazar, and the dominican Héctor Porcella in his capacity of interim general director of Idac and event host, it going to takes place from 16 to 18 of august in Punta Cana, principal touristical community of the Dominican Republic,in recognition of aeronauticals authorities perfomance of the country in the recovery and growing of the sector and to the accomplishing levels of regulations that rules the international civil aviation.
Besides the “General Directors program of civil Aviation about the resilience aviation and the workshop about the compliance of practices and regulation recommended by Icao Sarps,the meeting will work in preparing the coming assembly and activities of technical cooperation of the specialized United Nation organism ”, explained IDACs officer.
Among the topics to be discussed by he participants in the meeting, stand out: “a very resilient sector of aviation and ready to the future”, “Program to aviation answer to COVID-19”, “Meassures and challenges in operational safety” and “Safety return in operations”.
Besides, the generals director of civil aviation and the international organizations representatives will be debating about “Operational Safety-Thinking ahead to the future”, “emerging sustainability ‘-issues- ”, “Key lessons” y “Managing compliance with SARPS of Icao”, among others.
Porcella was confident in which the conclave will represent a very important advance step to the growing of civil aviation in the region and will reinforce the reputation of the dominican aeronautical system as an example of resilience and sustainable development model in Latin America .
He defined the meeting as a fact that will mark a precedent , while ensuring its success, “Because of its prestige and the authority of the supporting entities and by the commitment assumed with the team of men and women,professionals and technician of Idac, that have delivered a hundred per-cent to support the event and to contribute that the present delegates receive the best atention and hospitality that identifies the Dominican Republic”.
