
The executives of Aerodom, Siglo 21, extended an invitation to the general director of Idac, Igor Rodríguez, to a tour of the facilities of the Las Américas International Airport, Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez, especially in the areas where this business group executes important improvements:
1- Vehicle parking is currently being expanded with new lots for long-term parking that will meet demand.
2- In the coming weeks, the entire public departures and arrivals area will be remodeled to improve the passenger experience, among multiple projects.
3- Expansion of the Migration area.
4- All construction and remodeling works to be carried out in the Aila are expected to be completed in December 2024.
5- In addition, work is being done on the design of the new Aila passenger terminal, which will accommodate the double-digit growth in passenger traffic that has been experienced in the Dominican Republic. This new terminal will begin construction in 2025 with an investment of 250 million dollars, and will have a capacity of 4 million passengers per year.
