Civil aviation regions authorities values Dominican Republic achievements and recognizes Hector Porcella leadership  
Héctor Porcella director Idac, receives unanimous recognition granted by the Plenary Meeting of the Regional Group for Planning and Execution of the Caribbean and South America, Grepecas-20.

Salvador Bahia, Brasil. – Melvin Cintrón, regional director of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Icao, to North, Centro America and the Caribbean, justified with simple words the unanimous recognition granted because of Plenary Meeting of the Regional Group and Execution to the Caribbean and South America, Grepecas-20, to the dominican citizen Héctor Porcella. 

He said that as interim director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, and president of Grepecas, Porcella has been a role model of how a collective leadership can be exercised to create an efficient and safety aviation in the Region. 

After acknowledging that Porcella was not an expert in the aeronautical topic when he was appointed, he stated that as for Idac like in Grepecas, the young executive had demonstrated the conditions of a good leader when surrounding himself of qualified people to solve situations in which he didn’t has the technical knowledge.

While that Fabio Rabbiani, Icao South American office director, highlighted that as Grepecas president during the course of the last year, Porcella contributed to the creation of environment for the dialogue and agreement making easier the teamwork. 

“Without the teamwork it wouldn’t be possible” 

When receiving the recognition plaque from Cintrón and  Rabbiani hands, Idac’s interim director said that he assumed the actual responsibility  due to president Luis Abinader designation ,to whom he thanked his trust, 

“It was a trust placed in us since the day one that obviously we wouldn’t be able to perform without the great team we have in Idac in the Dominican Republic”. 

“I think that above all, this recognition it does not belong to Héctor Porcella, but to each one of Idacs collaborators  and to those that accompany me every day so I  be able to  take the right decisions  in this demanding and complex  environment as aviation to a world level”.  

He also valued the support he had received by his advisers in an international level mentioning directly to Cintrón and Rabbiani.
