
The Ambassador of Great Britain in the Dominican Republic paid a courtesy visit to the General Director interim of the Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil, Idac, Héctor Porcella, with whom he discussed the potential for exchange in the aeronautical field between both countries.
Porcella, who informed about the visit of the Ambassador, highlighted the interest of His Majesty´s Ambassador, Mockbul Ali Obe, to strengthen the approach and cooperation with the Dominican civil aviation and tourism.
“On behalf of Idac and the Dominican Government, we express our respect and satisfaction for the honorable visit of the British Ambassador and his interest to strengthen the exchange relations with our country, specially in terms of air connectivity°, said Porcella.
He recalled that the United Kingdom has been for a long time one of the main source markets for Dominican tourism and the tourism authorities are currently displaying sustained efforts to attract various segments of such an important European market.
°In this matter, the Idac will join such effort emphasizing the creation of conditions to attract new flights and airlines from England”, said Porcella.
