Asca of Idac recognizes the excellence of its teaching staff on Teachers’ Day

Punta Caucedo.- On  occasion of the commemoration of "National Teachers' Day", the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, recognized its excellent teachers of the year 2023.

Punta Caucedo.- On  occasion of the commemoration of “National Teachers’ Day”, the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca, of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, recognized its excellent teachers of the year 2023.

The ceremony held in the Aula Magna was chaired by the rector of Asca, Clara Fernández, who in her speech highlighted the effort and high level of commitment of the teachers of the Higher Technical Level and the Continuing Education area of this center specialized in aeronautical training of national and regional scope.

Fernández highlighted that recently the Asca received two certifications from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mescyt and the International Civil Aviation Organization, Icao, in recognition of its academic quality standards, supported by the high level of aeronautical, professional and didactic skills of its teachers.

At the event, the teachers of the Higher Technical Level who obtained the highest performance indices during the past year were recognized, as well as those of Continuing Education who achieved the highest levels of satisfaction among the participants of their programs.

At the Higher Technical Level, teacher Carlos Carmona Penzo was recognized as the teacher of excellence who obtained the highest performance index of the entire year 2023, and Nathali Herasme Méndez, León Antonio González, Ramón Emilio Abreu, Elizabeth Sosa de Ovalle, Ariel Alsina Núñez, Vanessa Byas Lizardo and Gerónimo Vargas Gómez were recognized for having achieved the most outstanding teaching performance indices in the three academic quarters of last year.

Roosevelt Peña and Elvis Antonio Collado were also awarded as instructors of maximum excellence, for having received the highest level of satisfaction as teachers of the Continuing Education programs.

The activity, carried out by the Division of Evaluation and Teaching Control and headed by the person in charge, Orquídea Abad, was attended by the Academic Vice-Rector, Enmi Torres; Milvio Pérez, in charge of the Aeronautical School; Rosa Indhira Navarro, in charge of Continuing Education, as well as teachers and academic collaborators.
