
Santo Domingo.-In a ceremony led by President Luis Abinader, the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, Asca of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac, received the certification of approval of the Five-Year Evaluation carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Mescyt, which reaffirms the commitment that the aeronautical training center has with compliance with the highest standards of academic quality.
The certification corresponds to the evaluation of the 2019-2024 cycle and confirms that Asca, together with 48 other higher education institutions in the country, has rigorously and responsibly passed the self-evaluation and external evaluation processes, established both in Law 139-01 of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and in Resolution 53-2022 of the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Conescyt.
The head of the Aeronautical School, Milvio Pérez, representing the rector of Asca, Clara Fernández, received the certificate from the hands of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and Franklin García Fermín, Minister of Mescyt.
David Rodríguez Durán, Administrative Minister of the Presidency, and Juan Francisco Viloria Santos, Vice Minister of Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions, Ies, also participated in the delivery of the certificate.
The vice-rectors of Mescyt, José A. Cancel, Evarista Matías, Genaro Rodríguez, Paula Disla and María López Polanco, as well as university rectors and other government officials, were also present at the meeting.
