Abinader leads opening ceremony of the new building of the Civil Aviation Board

Santo Domingo- President Luis Abinader led the opening ceremony of the new headquarters of the Civil Aviation Board, in an activity that was attended by the main authorities of the sector and representatives of airlines.

During the event, Dr. José Ernesto Marte Piantini highlighted the importance of having a modern building that reflects the relevance of the organization and allows better attention to the requirements of the Dominican aeronautical activity.

The structure is equipped with modern facilities and cutting-edge technology, which will allow the organization to improve the efficiency and quality of its operations.

In congratulating Dr. Marte Piantini and welcoming the commissioning of the new public building, the outgoing director of IDAC and next president of Jac, Héctor Porcella, stated that this achievement is associated with the notable advances that civil aviation has registered during the administration of President Abinader, where the exponential increase in the aeronautical fleet and new international routes and flights stand out to reach the goal of 10 million visitors; the ratification of category 1 and the updating and modernization of the legal platform of our aeronautical sector.

The four-level structure has an area of 349.07 m2 on the first floor, 369.07 m2 on the second floor, 425.87 m2 on the third level and 424.87 m2 on the last; for a total of 1,568.88 m2, located at 27 de Febrero Avenue, No. 492, almost on the corner of Presidente Antonio Guzmán, Mirador Norte.

Present at the event were Héctor Porcella Dumas, appointed new president of the Civil Aviation Board, as of August 16; Igor Rodríguez, new general director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation, Idac; Carlos Ramón Febrillet Rodríguez, Major General of the Technical Brigade in Aviation, Commander General of the Air Force of the Dominican Republic and Floreal Tarcicio Suárez Martínez, general director of the Specialized Corps in Airport Security and Civil Aviation, Cesac.
